Last
thursday was the coldest day in my life. The weather was around 3 Fahrenheit
and I needed to pick up a letter from another city near Chicago. I went there
by public transportation. The GPS said I needed to take the Blue line and two
buses. The first inconvenience was that one of the buses was late by around 20
minutes and I was standing in the windiest and coldest bus stop. Luckily, a bus driver from another bus, who was
from Puerto Rico, gave me a ride to the next bus stop. I finally arrived at my final destination and got the letter.
After I got
the letter, I thought I would return by the same route, but I was confused about
where the bus stop was for returning. I found a woman from Mexico and she was
waiting for the same bus. She was able to explain to me which bus took after this one. I finally got to the
last bus before The Metra, but after a few minutes I realized I was going in the opposite
direction. I talked with the bus driver and he left me at the next bus stop.
There was another woman from Cuba who had also taken the wrong bus. We were waiting in
the bus stop until we realized that the next bus was going to arrive in 45
minutes and we were frozen. We took the bus that was going to the same direction
we started.
So, I
finally got my letter and came home after 5 hours at least. It was an adventure and the final lesson was:

“Always ask
to the bus driver …Where will the bus go?”
